It's June and with a few minutes available to me here and there I am thinking ahead to September. This year my colleague and I spiraled the MFM2P for the first time. We found such value in teaching the course this way that I am going to spiral every course next year Semester 1 (1-MBF3C and 2-MFM2Ps).
I'm new to blogging but I felt that I needed a way to record my experiences with the 3C because I will be starting from scratch. I was incredibly lucky to find Mary Bourassa's blog M^3 last year and followed much of it to spiral the 2P.
Over the summer whiteboards will be installed in my math classroom and my hope is to have students up and working around the room on a regular basis so that they can see themselves as doers of math. Exciting times.
